5 Reasons To Sort Out Your Wardrobe Now

Let’s be honest, cleaning out your wardrobe is unlikely to be your idea of fun!
But with a little effort and imagination you can in fact find joy and satisfaction in sorting your dreaded wardrobe out. It's all about being able to envisage how you can re-use, upcycle and re-purpose!
Alright - so if you're still not convinced, then perhaps you’ll be familiar with the scenario that pushed me...
You see, last week I picked out the same shirt twice. I frustratingly decided that it didn’t look right, put it back on the shelf and watched it precariously balance on a pile of other shirts that never damn-well look quite right!!
ENOUGH was ENOUGH!
The challenge was set (yes Shannon and I both accepted...or perhaps one of us was coerced!) and off we went sorting...here are the results:
5 recycled, reused and re-purposed items that will make you want to sort out your wardrobe
ILL-FITTING SHIRT...

becomes a lovely summer skirt!
Method: shirt cut just above the elastic under bust and a waist band sewn to create a skirt.
SO-LAST-SEASON'S SHORT PLAIN SHIRT...

becomes a totally wearable, longer and brighter shirt!
Method: fabric taken from an old dress which already had a hem - this was then sewn onto the bottom of the shirt.
UNWANTED DENIM JEANS...

become useful pocket holders for all sorts of stuff!
Method: pockets cut from jeans and adhesive velcro stuck down to ensure items stay inside the pocket.
OLD T-SHIRT...

becomes a cute tote bag.
Method: Mommypotamus has a step-by-step guide for you!
SCARF (OR FABRIC BELT)...

turns into a colourful necklace! Awwwwww - so pretty!
Method: scarf tied in really tight knots at equal intervals.
Happy Spring sorting to you all!
