Are you ready to make your daily tea drinking ritual that extra bit special? Perhaps it's time to add a splash of colour? Or maybe you're after a more sophisticated look? Whatever your style, these gorgeous and simple DIY teapot stands and coasters are sure to turn your next cuppa into an ultra-teariffic experience!!
1. MOSAIC TILE TEAPOT STAND
These teapot stands are steeped in history! You see, they’re originals by none other than Jacqui & I.
Admittedly, we made them around 30 years ago but I think you'd agree they're still very much on-trend today!
Materials: mason board (cut to size), discarded tiles, tile adhesive, grout.
2. UPCYCLED SLATE TILE TEAPOT STAND
Scour your local buy, swap and sell sites to find useful second hand tiles that you can then use as a teapot stand! With some minor cutting you can create some different shapes and sizes. Totally unique and cheap!
Materials: old slate tiles, tile cutter (optional)
3. TIMBER COASTERS
Before you throw those scrap pieces of timber away consider if you can upcycle them into coasters. Or better still, if you’re out in the garden trimming trees, perhaps there’s a branch big enough for you to get to work on your own bespoke coasters. Garden Therapy has a simple to follow tutorial that is sure to inspire.
4. CORK TEAPOT STAND
Collected over many years of celebrations (or maybe just a few months), our mum put together this little beauty! It also doubles as a pot stand.
Materials: wine corks, wire and a lot of patience!
5. WOOL COASTERS
Pull out that old woollen jumper from the back of your wardrobe and get creative! These DIY coasters are so impressive and oh so simple. If you want to have a go yourself One Good Thing By Jillee offers all the tips and advice you need!
